Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or an electronic sensor. Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects activate a sensitive chemical or electronic sensor during a timed exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that also stores the resulting information chemically or electronically. Photography has many uses for business, science, art, and pleasure.

There are also other effects like,Optical effects (also called photographic effects), are techniques in which images or film frames are created photographically, either "in-camera" using multiple exposure, mattes, or the Schüfftan process, or in post-production processes using an optical printer. An optical effect might be used to place actors or sets against a different background.

Mechanical effects (also called practical or physical effects), are usually accomplished during the live-action shooting. This includes the use of mechanized props, scenery, scale models, pyrotechnics and Atmospheric Effects: creating physical wind, rain, fog, snow, clouds etc. Making a car appear to drive by itself, or blowing up a building are examples of mechanical effects. Mechanical effects are often incorporated into set design and makeup. For example, a set may be built with break-away doors or walls to enhance a fight scene, or prosthetic makeup can be used to make an actor look like a monster.Other than this there are also close shot effects

A collage is a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.

A collage may include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork, photographs, a piece of moss or even a dead mole and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty.

The term collage derives from the French "coller" meaning "glue". This term was coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.

Collage made from photographs, or parts of photographs, is called photomontage. Photomontage is the process (and result) of making a composite photograph by cutting and joining a number of other photographs. The composite picture was sometimes photographed so that the final image is converted back into a seamless photographic print. The same method is accomplished today using image-editing software. The technique is referred to by professionals as compositing.

Creating a photomontage has, for the most part, become easier with the advent of computer software such as Adobe Photoshop, Pixel image editor, and GIMP. These programs make the changes digitally, allowing for faster workflow and more precise results. They also mitigate mistakes by allowing the artist to "undo" errors. Yet some artists are pushing the boundaries of digital image editing to create extremely time-intensive compositions that rival the demands of the traditional arts. The current trend is to create pictures that combine painting, theatre, illustration and graphics in a seamless photographic whole.

Photo montage ^^ (Character : Caddy)

Our Group has chosen the mandarin-orange as out theme and wallpaper, this is because, our character caddy like caddium is some what similar to this colour. Also , it has been mentioned in the starting of the book when saffy was looking through the colour chart that bears their name. we have also came out with an interesting idea which is to divide the collage in two potions and making it look like a nail polish to further represent our character caddy. On the top potion of the collage, we used variety things that had been mentioned in the book about caddy. Such things are example gunie pig, books , cars , and also because of caddy being 18, we included things such as cosmetics and also some soft toys. In the book, it mentioned caddy having a gunie pig as a pet , about her reading books that would help her pass her driving lessons and excetra. In the bottom potion of our collage, we decided to mis and match pictures of the color orange or gold to represent the colour of caddium. Futhermore , to remind our viewers that we are doing caddy. We have rolled pictures to paste at the lower potion in the form of CAD as u can see in the collage.

From this sculpture, it represents the relationship of the Casson family. From an outsider's point of view, it may seem perfect. Just like looking at the sculpture from afar, it looked flawless. For example, from Sarahs's point of view, she tought that the Casson's family was perfect. However when Saffy shouted at her father(pg 46 of saffy's angel)Sarah was taken aback by what she saw. She thought that the family was perfect, but it turned out not to be. This is represented by the cracks observed on the sculpture. The cracks represents the imperfectness of the family although the scuplture may look flawless from afar. More examples thet relates to the imperfectness of the family is through the fact that Saffy ran away from home, and the fact that Bill Casson is always not at home, looking after the well-being of the children. This showed that the family is always not in a whole, not complete, imperfect.
